Nyay Veda Law Chambers offers internships that go beyond filing and photocopying. You will engage with real court work at the Bombay High Court, contribute to peer-reviewed legal scholarship, and receive direct mentorship from an advocate who has authored four legal texts, holds a registered AI patent, and contributes to Thompson Reuters publications. Duration: 1, 2, or 3 months. Applications are reviewed year-round.

Research Track
Research Intern
Conduct deep-dive case law research, draft statutory analysis, and contribute to the chamber's academic publications.
- Case law research across Indian and international jurisdictions
- Summarising judgments and legislative amendments
- Assistance with research papers and book manuscripts
Court Practice Track
Court Practice Intern
Work at the chamber's Bombay High Court office - drafting pleadings, attending hearings, and learning courtroom craft first-hand.
- Drafting plaints, petitions, and written statements
- Attending hearings at the Bombay High Court
- Client briefing and matter file management
Cyber Law & IP Track
Cyber Law & IP Intern
Specialise in digital law - IT Act, DPDP Act, cyber crime, and IP - with direct access to materials from a registered AI patent.
- Research in cyber crime, data protection, and AI law
- Analysis of IT Act cases and DPDP Act compliance
- IP research including patent and copyright matters

Eligibility Criteria
We welcome candidates from any law school in India.
- LLB students of any year are welcome to apply
- LLM graduates and enrolled students eligible for all tracks
- PhD scholars and research candidates welcome for the Research Track
- Court Practice Track: preferred location in Mumbai / Navi Mumbai
- Strong written English and research aptitude required
- Prior legal internship preferred but not mandatory
Internship Duration
Available for 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months. Specify your preferred start date and duration in the application form.

Adv. Bajpai holds Design Patent No. 462309-001 for an AI Legal Feedback Kiosk. Cyber Law interns engage with live AI-and-law research.

Research Output
Published in international and national journals. Research interns may contribute to papers submitted to journals indexed by Thompson Reuters.
What You'll Work On
Internship tasks vary by track, but every intern engages with at least two of these four core activities.
Case Law Research
Researching judgments from the Supreme Court, High Courts, and international jurisdictions relevant to ongoing matters.
Drafting Practice
Assisting in the preparation of plaints, petitions, legal notices, written statements, and compliance advisories.
Court Observation
Attending hearings at the Bombay High Court and Navi Mumbai courts to observe advocacy, submissions, and judicial proceedings.
Academic Contributions
Supporting research papers, book chapters, and conference presentations - an opportunity rare in most Indian law firm internships.
